for International Orders

Taxes and Other Duties Not Included

Why are taxes and other duties not included in the total cost of international orders?

Taxes and other duties are not included in the total cost of international orders because each country has its own tax regulations and customs duties. It would be impractical for sellers to incorporate all potential taxes and fees into the initial price due to the complexity and variations across different countries.

What types of fees can I expect when taxes and duties are not included in my international order?

The types of fees commonly associated with international orders include import duties, value-added tax (VAT), customs brokerage fees, and handling and disbursement fees charged by shipping carriers or postal services.

How are import duties calculated?

Import duties are calculated based on the declared value of the goods and the specific regulations of the importing country. The rates can vary depending on the type of product and may be a percentage or a specific amount per unit.

What is value-added tax (VAT) and how is it calculated?

Value-added tax (VAT) is a consumption tax imposed by many countries on imported goods. VAT is calculated based on the total value of the goods, including shipping costs. The percentage of VAT varies between countries.

Do I have to pay these fees for every international order?

The fees associated with taxes and other duties vary depending on the importing country and the value of the goods. Not all international orders will incur these fees, but it is important to be aware of the potential costs and regulations of the destination country.

Can I avoid paying these fees?

Generally, taxes and other duties cannot be avoided when importing goods. However, it is possible to minimize the impact by researching and understanding the regulations beforehand, budgeting for the additional costs, and working with customs brokers who can provide guidance and help streamline the clearance process.

Are these fees the same for all countries?

No, the fees associated with taxes and other duties vary from country to country. Each country has its own tax systems, customs regulations, and fee structures. It is important to research and understand the specific requirements of the importing country for accurate information.

Where can I find more information about taxes and duties for international orders?

For more information about taxes and duties for international orders, you can contact customs authorities of the importing country, consult government websites, or seek assistance from customs brokers who specialize in international trade. These sources can provide up-to-date and accurate information based on the specific regulations of the country in question.

Are these fees refundable if I return or cancel my international order?

As per our Refund Policy, once an international order has been shipped and has left our facility for delivery overseas, it becomes non-refundable. This is due to the significant costs involved in international shipping, customs duties, and taxes, which are often non-recoverable for us as the seller.
